Transparent information about what data is collected on this personal website and how it is used.

Page View Analytics

This site collects self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics. No third-party tracking scripts (Google Analytics, etc.) are used.

What is collected:

  • Page path visited (e.g. /en/notes/article-name)
  • Language preference (tr / en)
  • Device type (desktop / mobile / tablet) — derived from User-Agent
  • Referring URL (referrer) — only if from an external source
  • Anonymized visitor fingerprint: IP address + User-Agent are hashed together with SHA-256; the raw IP address is never stored

What is NOT collected:

  • Raw IP address
  • Personal identifiers
  • Cookies or browser storage
  • Cross-site tracking

Share Tracking

When share buttons on content pages are clicked, the platform (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, copy link) and the content path are recorded. This data contains no personal identifiers.

Email Subscriptions

If you subscribe to notes, the following data is stored:

  • Your email address
  • Your language preference (tr / en)
  • Subscription status (pending / confirmed / unsubscribed)
  • Confirmation timestamp
  • A private confirmation / unsubscribe token

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email. To request deletion of your data, use the contact link below.

Contact Messages

Messages submitted via the contact form (name, email, message text) are stored directly in this site's database and are only visible to the site owner. Messages are not shared with third parties.

Data Retention

Analytics data and share events are stored indefinitely (for aggregate statistics only). Email subscriber records and contact messages can be deleted upon request.
